Last year around Easter, Kris and I drove around for a while before Bible study. I remember this being the first time we talked seriously about getting married.

When we were singing it really felt like God’s hand of blessing had been on our previous conversation. Kris grabbed my hand and lifted it up.

As I stood there singing the next song, I noticed out of the corner of my eye these two water cups sitting underneath the cross.

I do not know who the water cups belonged to, but for me it was a symbol of how Kris and I were coming before Jesus to be filled.

We can’t be in a relationship with each other if Jesus isn’t filling us up first.

This year we will be married right near Easter and the cross will be up at church. It’s a full circle story as we start a new story together.
