Strength in Joy

Nehemiah 4:1-23, 6:1-9&15, 8:10b, Isaiah 40:31

Nehemiah and the people finally started rebuilding the wall of the city. However, they were met with taunting, threats, and exhaustion. Nehemiah prayed for God to strengthen his hands. Are you tired? Are you losing strength in this change of seasons? Find comfort in this promise: “For the joy of the Lord is your strength.” If you read the end of the story, you will find that Nehemiah and the people were able to complete the wall to protect the city in just 52 days. God is going to get you through whatever you are going through right now too – big or small. “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
