Round 1: Buying – Tops had Duncan Hines Gluten Free Brownies with frosting on sale this week for 3.99. I also picked up a box at Wegmans a while ago when just Kris was going to be gluten-free.
Round 2: Preparing – Wegmans barreled towards a chewy dessert with its thick, dark batter while Duncan Hines bedazzled the baker with a more sparkly mix. Both batters bore themselves into barely greased baking dishes.
Round 3: Baking (nothing to report)
In a sudden turn of events, Rice Chex entered the Battle of the Brownies and won the competition smothered in chocolate, peanut butter, and confectioners sugar!!!!
Duncan Hines came in a close second with its chocolate glaze frosting and airy texture.
The fate of the Wegmans brand can be inferred.
